Chapter 414 - 58: The Giant Demon Emperor Strikes, Two Ancient Species Fall

The gods of the Giant Demon Empire were taken aback when the Storm Goddess finished speaking.

But then, they just smiled.

"Indeed."

The atmosphere between the Main Gods of the two great empires was quite amicable.

At the very least, this collaboration had gotten off to a very good start for both sides.

"Hm, everyone, look. Here comes another fine piece of Ancient Material."

"It’s not even at the Divine Tier. It seems we won’t need your Giant Serpent God to intervene this time."

As they spoke, the Giant Demon Main God Moridun suddenly focused his spiritual awareness. On the other side of the planet, he saw the Unihorn Shark ascending from the atmosphere into orbit around Barbaric Star.

With that, the figures of the Deities quickly vanished one after another from this side of the Star Sea.

「In an instant.」

The Unihorn Shark had just devoured the projection of a Demigod and appeared in the Star Realm. In the very next moment, the combined, immense Divine Power of the Deities cut off its path, blocking the space leading back down to the planet’s orbit.

In that same instant, a barrage of successive attacks from the Storm Goddess and the Giant Demon Main God Moridun left it reeling!

The entire process of cornering and fighting the Unihorn Shark went smoothly.

There was a considerable difference in Power between this Unihorn Shark and the Sea Slug.

The two Main Gods took action, and in just a few rounds, they had knocked the massive creature unconscious.

That’s right.

The Unihorn Shark never surrendered, not for a moment.

But after only a few rounds, its entire body was riddled with horrific wounds from the two Main Gods’ relentless bombardment.

Main God Moridun had even snapped off its horn.

This was the primary reason it fell unconscious.

Grievously wounded!

The wounds were severe, akin to a massive concussion.

Thus, the unconscious Unihorn Shark was soon being towed by two distant Starships. Escorted by three Weak Divine Power Deities, it was taken toward the Star Gate.

There was nothing more to be said.

The creature naturally became a spoil of war for the Star Empire.

With the precedent set by the first two Ancient Deities, the Deities and the allied army got the hang of things.

In short, they continued to wipe out the Ocean Sea Race while simultaneously luring the Ancient Deities into the Star Realm.

This process continued for several whole years.

After all, some of the Sea Race clans were still very powerful.

Even with the Empire’s forces, including Demigods and Saint Tiers, deployed into the mortal world, the fighting was still surprisingly fierce.

Several of the Sea Race clans even united against them.

However, the allied army wasn’t in a hurry.

After all, Barbaric Star was a rare and valuable training ground.

As long as the Ancient Deities didn’t emerge, the Deities would simply watch over the mortals of the Empire Alliance Army as they battled the Sea Race.

And so, by the eighth year of the war, only the last three Sea Race clans remained in the entire ocean, bitterly holding on.

As for the Ancient Deities, five of them now remained.

This was because the Deities of two clans had discovered the trap in the Star Sea. They refused to leave the planet, no matter what.

They had even joined forces with the other three remaining Ancient Deities.

By this point, even though the Giant Serpent God Kukudar was coiled menacingly beside Barbaric Star, it could do nothing but watch helplessly if it wanted to avoid destroying the planet’s ecosystem.

However, by this time, the Star Empire had dispatched its Elf Race, which had already established a good rapport with the Forest Elf Clan on the Barbaric Star Continent.

They had even helped the Forest Race reclaim more than half of the winged insects’ territory.

With the help of the Forest Race, the Star Empire gladly accepted an alliance pact with the Northern Frost Clan.

The two races signed a pact with the Star Empire.

They would help the Star Empire hunt down the other Alien Races on the planet to the best of their ability.

In addition, when necessary, they would perform a ritual to awaken their clans’ Father God from his slumber in some unknown location.

In return, the Star Empire guaranteed the status of both races’ Father Gods. Even if their Father Gods were initially unwilling to join the Empire, the Star Empire was forbidden from harming them.

In short, the two races believed that given the terrifying power of the Star Empire’s Giant Serpent God, their Father Gods wouldn’t dare to act rashly, even if they refused to join the Star Empire.

Therefore, the two races believed that if they helped their Father Gods establish a foundation for communication with the Star Empire on relatively equal footing beforehand, there was still a chance for a favorable outcome.

As they say, fortune favors the bold.

If their gamble paid off, then according to the Star Empire, their two races would become the undisputed Overlord Races of the planet.

And so, the campaign for Barbaric Star quickly entered its final phase.
