Chapter 115: Symphony of destruction 4
Chapter 115: Symphony of destruction 4
The remaining life of the planet were all simple lifeforms; the parasite had sacrificed all the strongest ones to end the festival on earth himself. At once all of them, millions upon millions of lifeforms, turned into sand, moving toward his body.
After his revival he began his journey once more at level 1, but as the sands were absorbed into his body, one by one his level increased. Because most were simpler life forms, his level only reached level 10.
Pillars rose from the ground, like his parasite form, and they were plants with their roots deep within the core of the small planet. Above each pillar an eye appeared, connecting all of them together with a string of magic, with their end lines reaching his body.
The whole process of extracting his power would have taken around a week, but with armies of enemies near the planet, he decided to extract as much as he could and leave at once.
The first line of enemies reached the atmosphere of Pohn, but a pure magic shield was already created to protect the planet; breaking them from the outside had to take some time.
The spaceship was the size of Pohn itself; its design was a cube with a mirror-like metal as its surface. One by one, three more came around the planet.
Surrounding the planet on all fours, their surface changed color to red as each one shot out a laser beam at the shield; every beam’s color was different, carrying a different type of magic.
"They are living machines!" The reality hit him after it was already too long. He has seen children’s souls that were completely broken. The Empire of Hakh put the souls of newborns into machines; the error rate needed millions of children to sacrifice their lives until one of them could be one with the machine. The result was that nothing in the whole galaxy could match their army.
The shield started to weaken from different types of magic attacking all at once, but the parasite still did nothing, absorbing more power. He had already reached level 20, but as his level increased, the duration to reach his next level increased.
"Their ships need to charge up again before they can destroy the planet! With our history, they should come for me personally." He summoned his sword and armor as he became prepared for a real fight, not a child’s play like his fights on earth.
The Hakh empire existed in his era too; at that time their powers were flourishing, controlling over a whole galaxy, and with the guidance of angels and their five races, the world fell into their hands.
Until the time they decided to kill a threat to all life forms in the world, after the parasite finished his job with them, from their whole galaxy less than a million remained; they hid themselves in the edges of the world where he wouldn’t go after them, changing their names into elves and starting everything anew.
The hole on the shield slowly grew larger and larger, yet before it fully got destroyed, cannons came out from all their sides, shooting missiles with the speed of light. Going through the holes of the shield, they hit the surface of the planet with only one goal: to cause as much destruction as possible.
"Oh, they know the trick..." The parasite’s magic once more ran through the planet, adding more magic to the shield in the sky; the powers of missiles were not enough to destroy the place completely.
With millions of missiles bombing the planet in each second, its surface had turned to ashes, but they couldn’t deal any damage to its core. Unlike other planets, the core of this planet was his own body at level 90; very few things could actually destroy it.
The beam’s energy increased as a new surge of power burned in the system of the spaceship. The parasite’s eyes went wide. "That’s near a level 60 energy..."
His shield crumbled under the new wave of attacks as more missiles launched from the cannons. The energy beams hit the surface, melting the soil and sand on their way, trying to reach the core of the planet.
Despite the hell they made on the planet, not a single one was shot toward the area he resided in; his pillars were destroyed but regenerated at a faster speed.
"Fucking humans..." He cursed inwardly; his time with humans had made him forget the will of true hunters. Elves were born without any fear in their hearts; their only goal in battle was to kill or be killed.
From each spaceship a person came out; their levels couldn’t be recognized or even their magic types. Around their bodies too much magic existed to let the enemy understand anything about them. Behind each one a set of living machines moved; for two of them, they were in the shape of guns and laser beams, while the other two carried blades and chainsaws.
"Our kind had never forgotten about you, Demon of destruction, Perses." One by one, all four landed on the ground, surrounding him.
With a laugh, he answered, "If I were in your place, I wouldn’t forget myself either."
One of the elves picked up the lifeless corpse on the ground, teleporting it to somewhere else. The human was the only reason they could avenge their past after so long; the least they could do was to make a proper funeral for him.
"Times have changed, demon. Beg on your knees for forgiveness, and we shall give you a quick death." The elf that carried the human seemed to be their leader; all of them had silver masks that showed nothing of their faces, with their armors being from the same material. He knew the material, a type of silver that was only found in the deepest parts of a certain ocean; nothing in the universe could match its durability.
Perses’s helmet covered his face, yet beneath that his lips curled into a smile, "The times have changed, yet the rules stay the same."
At once all four prepared to attack.
