Chapter 1701 - 1702: I Have the Power to Foresee
The eighties was still a relatively conservative era, but as society developed, especially in big cities where people became more knowledgeable, mindsets gradually opened up. As for relationships, as long as both parties were willing, and emotions ran deep, it wasn’t all that surprising if they did something intimate in the heat of the moment.
What Cheng Su and the others didn’t expect was these two broke tradition, got intimate before solidifying their relationship, and then, one of them just ran off.
Isn’t this like a scene from a TV drama?
"Did you not satisfy her or something?" Cheng Yaozu chuckled suggestively.
Ning Ge’s face darkened like a pot bottom and he coldly smiled at him, "Want to give it a try yourself?"
Cheng Su held back a laugh and lightly coughed, reminding the loose-tongued Cheng Yaozu and Ning Ge that there was still a woman present here.
Cheng Yaozu rubbed his nose, still looking at Ning Ge with a smile.
Ning Ge said, "Anyway, I haven’t seen her since that day. My sister said she went abroad; whether she’s back now, I don’t know, but I can’t find her."
He wasn’t exactly not annoyed about it, and also felt somewhat uncomfortable. They had done that thing, and he wasn’t someone who wouldn’t take responsibility. Did she really have to run? And for so long that she couldn’t be found?
"She’s obviously trying to avoid you. If you care, you should ask your sister to think of a way to find her," Cheng Su pointedly said.
Ning Ge just showed a bitter smile, "Since you say she’s purposely avoiding me, then would my sister be able to find her?"
He had somewhat hinted at this to his sister, but there were just no traces of that girl.
Cheng Su was momentarily speechless by his retort, spreading her hands and saying, "Then you can only see where fate takes you both. If you’re meant to be, no matter when, she’ll come to you eventually."
Ning Ge said, "Let it be, anyway I’m not begging her."
Cheng Su suddenly laughed, "You, don’t be too arrogant with this. Otherwise, when you do end up begging her, you’ll slap your own face."
Ning Ge looked indifferent and said, "I’ll just wait and see." Then, feeling it was a bad omen, he said, "Forget it, let’s not talk about this heartless girl. Let’s get back to business, where were we?"
He didn’t want to continue, so Cheng Su and the others didn’t push further, instead talking about building a factory in the South.
The few of them were good friends and considered the South to be the Cheng family’s turf. Developing and constructing a factory there had Cheng Yaozu’s absolute support, as the South indeed had better development. Ning Ge usually followed Cheng Su’s suggestions; everyone agreed, so the proposal was passed, and it was time to make plans.
"I think we should buy a piece of land to build the factory, not rent one. We’ll withdraw funds from the company, and if the cash flow isn’t enough, we’d have to either inject more investment or increase shares." Cheng Su said, "Buying land and building the factory ourselves, regardless of whether the company prospers in the future, we’ll at least have a factory and land. If it doesn’t succeed, renting it out or selling the whole land won’t result in a loss!"
Cheng Yaozu eyed her, "I found an issue."
"What is it?"
"I found out that you are very passionate and persistent about land, and you’re confident it won’t lose value, instead becoming more valuable. Is it my impression, or do you have some insider information?" Cheng Yaozu laughed.
Cheng Su mimicked their playfulness with a raised eyebrow and said, "Of course, I have the power to Foresee, didn’t I tell you?"
Cheng Yaozu rolled his eyes dramatically.
Ning Ge then laughed, "Prophet, then tell me, what’s the best thing to do now?"
"Technology, tech communications, it’ll definitely flourish in a few years." Cheng Su giggled.
Ning Ge squinted his eyes slightly.
